If I have desktop effects enabled then screen would freeze every few hours. The system keeps running in the background but screen is replaced with a still picture. As soon as I disable desktop effects screen resumes and then I can re-enable desktop effects. Amination is also sort of choppy and not as smooth as they are when desktop effect is enabled.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Happens when using desktop effects.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
System screen freezes and replaced by a still picture. Can get back to working system by disabling desktop effects.

I am using Plamsa 5 on Thinkpad T420i.
