If I understand it correctly, this is actually a feature request to change the behaviour of the quicksearch field. This field is meant for filtering, and filtering in KDE always applies to the current view only. For more powerful searches, you can use Tools -> Find Messages (or its default shortcut "S"). Denis Kurz. I am on a new machine which doesn't have kmail yet but can Find Messages search across folders? Yes. It has three modes: All folders, one specified folder (optionally with all its subfolders), or an arbitrary selection of folders. |
