- Application Launcher in "Advanced Mode"
 - Look up an item from "Favorites" (e.g. "Amarok")
 - Find that item in Launcher: Left-click on Launcher, left-click on group (e.g. "Multimedia");
 - Right-click on that item (e.g. "Amarok", click "Remove from Favorites"
 - "Favorites" sub-menu disappears, and whole Launcher menu moves up leaving a gap between the Launcer button and menu itself

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Application Launcher in "Advanced Mode", Look up an item from "Favorites" (e.g. "Amarok")
2. Find that item in Launcher: Left-click on Launcher, left-click on group (e.g. "Multimedia");
3. Right-click on that item (e.g. "Amarok", click "Remove from Favorites"
Actual Results:  
 "Favorites" sub-menu disappears, and whole Launcher menu moves up leaving a gap between the Launcer button and menu itself

Expected Results:  
This should not happen

This is present in all recent versions of KDE Desktop (Debian Wheezy, Kubuntu 13.04/13.10/14.04), OpenSUSE

I presume you mean the "Classic Mode"? The Favorites is repropulated immediately afterwards, the next time you reopen it, with the default applications set in your KDE version.
Works fine here in both the "Classic Mode" and the "Application Launcher Style", using Kubuntu 14.10 and KDE release 4.14.2
