Is this reproducible with the phonon-backend-vlc as well? You will have to restart Amarok after changing the backend, on some distributions a logout of KDE is needed. No, with phonon-vlc it's fine just no fade out option. So I think the problem is phonon-gstreamer. Example: https://copy.com/URMFj7ipffkH Thank you for the fast feedback, reassigning.
