I've selected in the open dialog about 20 files to be opened simultaneously through FTP ioslave.

When I've pressed Open button Kate froze for a few minutes.

The UI should not be frozen under any circumstances.

Reproducible: Always

Like bug 362319: we can optimize that, but this is no bug, just missing polish (that will unfortunately not really happen I fear, as the open files over ftp/http use case is no longer that relevant today)
