At the moment we have Shift + Z to deal with Polygonal selection points, but we are lacking this behavior in other fundamental selection tool "Draw Path"

This seems to be a problem on complex drawings or selections as stated in this bug report #332531

Other tools that should behave the same way are.
Draw polyline and draw Polygonal shape
Draw path
