Which Marble version are you running? The older ones give you such a feature if you start marble with the --enableFileView parameter. Newer versions don't need that switch, you can enable this view in Settings => Panels => Files. With that view you can close opened files and also toggle which of their features (like folders) are shown. Dennis Excellent. Problem solved. Thanks for your rapid response.
