left mouse button not functioning in system tray applet, right is

desktop widget works as expected (on desktop and in panel)

tested 2 users

running openSUSE 13.1 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. right click
2.
3.
Actual Results:  
nothing

Expected Results:  
applet opens & networks displayed

This is not a problem in our applet, you have probably something wrong in your configuration.

hmm, you are correct it seems there is an issue on my system with hidden applets, most are not functioning unless not hidden.

Option Start hidden to tray in Mozilla Firefox add-ons like FireTray and Minimize On Start And Close do not work (after system reboot the automatic started Firefox is not hidden to tray) and have the same problem; when Firefox is hidden to tray (manually reduced to icon) the left mouse button on the icon in the tray does not re-open the application. In order to have the add-on working the Start hidden to tray option must be unchecked. Tested on Kubuntu 13.10 ( KDE 4.11.2 & 4.11.3) and Chakra Linux (KDE 4.11.3).
