I noticed this too, the shelf cannot use entries from the menu anymore. Dolphin seems to have a similar problem, also no kio-slave addresses... Bug 327224 I have noticed the same problem. System PCLINUXOS 3.6.64-pclos1, KDE 4.11.3. I really like this widget so a bug fix would be much appreciated. Thanks Morph. Can you test the following: - Does applications: kio work in dolphin and konqueror? - Does the problem remain if you add a slash to the path when selecting the application category? (applications:/System/ instead of applications:/System) Kio works in konqueror (not in doilphin, Bug link from Peter Paulsen). Yes, adding a slash manually does work! Hello I can confirm that the bug in plasma-widget-lancelot 4.12.4 (debian package) still exists and adding a trailing slash lets the menu appear (ie. applications:/Office/) When I drag a category from kickoff menu to the panel and choose to create a shelf the address is written in another way, it has two more slashes - and therefore does not work either... E.g. when I want to have a shelf with the settings menu: Dragging category from menu: applications://settingsmenu / Adding category from within the shelf: applications:/Settingsmenu Both does not work, the correct link would be: applications:/Settingsmenu/ BTW: "Resolved later" does mean it won't be fixed for the 4.x branch I guess? |
