- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Rebooting after power off
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
after logging into kde all I saw was a black screen. had use of mouse and desktop. graphic applications started from command line worked fine. Guest login showed no changes.  Setting composting to false fixed problem.

Please do not report multiple issues in one entry. The crash is a duplicate of bug 315414 (caused by the RememberTheMilk widget).

As for the black screen: does it also occur whn you start the compositor at runtime (Shift+Alt+F12)?

In any case, please provide the ouput of "qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin supportInformation" - ideally with active compositing.
If you've issues with black screen (so you cannot see what you type), just prepend it "sleep 10;" - you'll then have few seconds to start the compositor before the call is made. (Just wait half a minute and then suspend the compositor again, same shortcut)

Reopen, the black screen issue has not been investigated.
