- What I was doing when the application crashed:
One image would not appear in digikam browser but was visible in Table view. So I tried "reread metadata from image" to try to fix the database and digikam crashed.

Your backtrace do not show any digiKam code. So it's not suitable to hack.

Please try to run digiKam into GDB to get a better backtrace, following instructions here :
