I've reported a bug for kdm but it also applies to lightdm. All the steps and results are the same. Could be a duplicate of bug 324330. Also, with a recent update in openSUSE Factory (which among others, updated xorg-server 1.14.2 to 1.14.3) I even get a black xdm login screen, so I doubt there is a kdm bug. Also happening here on Arch Linux and KDE 4.11.2. Manual/automatic time-out screen locks work normally. Switch user locks do not. Even with the black screen, it seems I can still blind-type Alt+P followed by the password to unlock the session. KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5. SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/ |
