Description Skarmoutsos Vangelis 2013-08-22 11:23:45 UTC
In a system where the default locale is greek, all menus and texts are displayed correctly except the text inside tooltips. Tooltips are empty (no text) and only the rectangles are visible.
All other applications work fine.
I use gnome 3.4.2 in case there is something with it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Probably you have to make greek as your default system locale.
1. start digikam
2. hover somewhere to view a tooltip.
Actual Results:
A blank tooltip rectangle appears.

Expected Results:
A tooltip rectangle which has some text inside.

Debian Release 7.1 (wheezy) 64-bit
Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64
GNOME 3.4.2

Problem fully relevant of KDE color scheme manager, already reported in the past.

Look bug #284740 for details

I installed systemsettings package (this is KDE's application).
Then pressed Alt+F2 and run systemsettings
Selected: "Application appearance"-Colors-Colors (tab)-"Color set: Tooltip"-"Normal text"
Click on Normal text's corresponding color and changed "Value" to "100" (any dark color).
OK, Apply, close systemsettings.
Start digikam and tooltips can be viewed.

This is the only minor problem I had while using digikam on gnome. It is really a grate application.
