Thanks Wayne! And ack for the suggestion, too. I think the simplest way to do it, would be to add a checkbox "use global texture" to the texture option. It would use the currently selected pattern instead of the locally selected one. The downside would be that you may want to use a different pattern for painting and texture at the same time. The alternative would be to have a whole new texture resource type that would work independently from the patterns. Painter works this way. A library for patterns and a library of papers (textures). This is probably the best solution as people use patterns (tone screens, repetitive designs, bucket fills) for one thing and canvas/textures for another - on average. Although a global solution may be less confusing to new users and keep things speedy as there are currently. WISHGROUP: Stretchgoal |
