digikam (3.2.0) on KDE Platform 4.10.90 using Qt 4.8.5
Now I tried as User root.
After first start I got through digikam setup without errors. Than digikam tries to start and crashes a second after showing the logo.

The Slideshow tool will also support video as well. QtAV use ffmpeg codecs. It's multi-platform and will always available in OSX, Windows and Linux bundles that digiKam team provide. For Linux packagers, you will need to turn on video support at compilation time and solve QtAV dependencies...
