hello! i made two short mpg movies about how logging in kubuntu looks like on both of my screens (VGA and HDMI). But because the movie clips are too big (each one is 33 MB big, and bugs.kde.org is limited to only 4 MB (wish it was at least 100 MB, for short movie clips like this) i have upload them via sendspace. If the links expire please write me email and i will upload them again, or send them to your email. Thank you nice day Simon :) link 1: [movie] my logging in + splash screen as seen on my monitor VGA-0 Download Link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/xa653c link 2: [movie] my logging in + splash screen as seen on my television HDMI-0 Download Link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/xtx75c btw if you are wondering, the error message that also appears during logging in says: Profil »AC« je poskušal omogočiti neobstoječe dejanje DimDisplay. Težava je običajno v namestitvi ali pa nastavitvah. in english (rough translation): Profile »AC« has tried to enable non-existing action DimDisplay. The problem is usually with the installation or in the settings. i dont know what that means neither or how to fix it.... nice day Simon :) please disregard my previous comment it was long ago fixed. but the funny logging in the kubuntu is still there. if i may add - maybe it is like this on purpose, but i believe that in case whn one has selected 1920x1080 as his primary screen and the toher monitor as secondary screen with resolution 1280x1024 - and they are in the CLONE MODE the ksplash should honor and behave like it is only 1920x1080 screen, disregard the positioning and the resolution constraint on the 4/3 monitor.... nice day! :) simon this is now working properly (tested with 1600x900 and 1920x1080 monitors ) nice day simon |
