Description Ortwin Glück 2013-07-08 08:30:10 UTC
klocale_kde.cpp checks for the string "UTF-8" in the environment, but on Gentoo systems the locales usually end in "utf8" (without dash). Glibc seems to treat both strings as synonyms.

$ locale -a
C
de_CH.utf8
de_DE.utf8
en_US
en_US.iso88591
en_US.utf8
POSIX

This leads to problems when unzipping ZIP files from Windows with Ark with non-ASCII filenames: Dolphin is later unable to access them.

Reproducible: Always

probably unrelated to the observed problems, don't worry
