Small note: Since Kate actually recommends making Tab shortcut for Align to achieve Emacs-like tab behaviour, I assumed that it would work without problems. How should it know it should not invoke the configured action? I don't know. Maybe it's just better to work around it. Perhaps Find and Replace should be changed to dialog / window. For example in Kate "Tools –> Snippets..." tab works. Same with KDevelop's "Find/Replace In Files". Or maybe Kate should have option for letting tab to work like align without configuring shortcuts.
