looks like a qtwebkit issue Thank you, but ... uh ... what does that tell me? Do I need to take it up with someone else? package: libqtwebkit4 version: 2.3.0 -jvh Jim Van Horn Seattle WA, USA On 05/08/2013 06:08 AM, Jekyll Wu wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319500 > > --- Comment #1 from Jekyll Wu <adaptee@gmail.com> --- > looks like a qtwebkit issue > Since you're running a 32bit system, the "Illegal instruction" could be caused by the flash plugin: AFAIK the latest flashplayer 11.2 is compiled with SSE2, which older cpus don't support. So please try to remove flashplayer from your system and see if Kontact/QtWebKit still crashes then. Alas, my system is already Flash free: no Flash pkg and the Firefox Flash plugin has been disabled. -jvh Jim Van Horn Seattle WA, USA On 05/10/2013 03:42 AM, Wolfgang Bauer wrote: > --- Comment #3 from Wolfgang Bauer <wbauer@tmo.at> --- > Since you're running a 32bit system, the "Illegal instruction" could be caused > by the flash plugin: > AFAIK the latest flashplayer 11.2 is compiled with SSE2, which older cpus don't > support. > > So please try to remove flashplayer from your system and see if > Kontact/QtWebKit still crashes then. *** Bug 320075 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 320076 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I upgraded to qt-5.0.2 to see if the bug was still in webkit and it did not help. My webkit application was still crashing. Please update if you know anything about this bug. Created attachment 81708 [details]
