When I try to add new contact to the list I can do so and I see this result in the chat window (we were already chatting without me adding him).

cachen.novell is now known as Calen Chen
Calen Chen is Available

When I look to the contact list I still see the added user as cachen.novell and offline. The change of the name is populated only after I close and open the contactlist again.

I am observing this with groupwise provider, but I am not sure if it is not generic.

Also as bit unrelated problem the Available string is NOT translated/translatable, where it should be (I translated the messages back to english for the bug).

I was able to reproduce it with Groupwise and Jabber.
