Sorry for the noise, but I think I have misunderstood how to reproduce this bug. First of all, if I delete ~/.kde4/share/apps/kile/kileui.rc then the bug is 'fixed'. What I did at the same time as having the menu as a button, was editing the toolbar, and this is triggering the bug consistently (tried three times now). I essentially only add the "Open recent projects" button to the main toolbar, but I cannot specifically say exactly which step is producing the bug. I attach the kileui.rc file. I also noticed on one occation when switching back from the "menubar button" to the traditional one (after a restart), that the menu completely disappeared in kile. In order to resolve this issue I had to remove the file ~/.kde4/share/config/kilerc to get the menubar back. Cannot say what triggered this one though. Created attachment 78573 [details]
