Description Marcin "WMP" Janowski 2013-03-29 00:25:36 UTC
Hello, when i watch movie on VLC (on fullscreen or window), after 10 minutes i seen lockscreen with prompt for password. But i can unlock them without password, i must only movie cursor.

Reproducible: Always

Does the lockscreen behave the same if you're not running vlc? And are you talking about the plasma active lockscreen or the desktop one?

What are the settings in your equivalent of "Display and Monitor" -> "Screen Locker"?

Comment 7 Oliver Henshaw 2013-04-05 12:28:38 UTC
So it looks like you're using plasma desktop and not plasma active, correct? Probably it was changing "Screen Locker" settings that made this work.

Are you saying that without vlc the screen would lock and needed a password to unlock; while with vlc the screen would lock but unlock without a password?

If you can provide the information requested in comment #7, please add it.
Comment 9 Marcin "WMP" Janowski 2013-04-14 11:32:12 UTC
Yes, i use Plasma desktop. I think that i dont need password since 60 second, and when i watch movie in VLC i move mouse before this 60 second. So bug may be invalid ;)

But why lockscreen is active when i watch movie in vlc?
Comment 10 Thomas Pfeiffer 2013-04-14 13:07:21 UTC
Changing product to kscreensaver (I hope it belongs there, definitelky not Plasma Active though)

See bug #292917 - this is something that vlc 2.1 will fix.

The unlock dialog appearing even when no password is required to unlock is bug #315442

As I don't think there are any more issues unique to this bug report, I'm closing it.
