I have tried the latest KDE in the latest Fedora Live CD http://fedoraproject.org/it/download-splash?file=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/19/Live/x86_64/Fedora-Live-KDE-x86_64-19-1.iso fading works if I use: desktop effect enabled + radeon xorg driver desktop effect enabled + default xorg driver on qemu desktop effect disabled + default xorg driver on qemu But doesn't works if I use desktop effect disabled + radeon xorg driver I understand that is a strange combination, but the fading on logout should work also with a full graphics driver. There's no black background anymore. We won't bring back the ancient grayscale effect, though, that's what the composited logout effect is for. |
