I have no idea how to to do this as i have relied on the automatic updates to keep me uptodate. I thought that using the LTS version of Kubuntu would have done this for me but obviously i'm missing something. As a novice user i would be grateful if you could take the time to explain this for me. Would adding an additional repository to the update manager solve this for me? Thanks in advance Tim Ince ________________________________ From: Jekyll Wu <adaptee@gmail.com> To: timince777@btinternet.com Sent: Thursday, 7 February 2013, 17:48 Subject: [kdelibs] [Bug 314455] kde daemon crash https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314455 --- Comment #3 from Jekyll Wu <adaptee@gmail.com> --- read https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283105#c121 Well, basically you need to do this in the shell: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get upgrade BUT, I'm not a ubuntu user (once was) and I never use LTS version, so I really can't say that is the correct/safe way of doing it for a LTS version. Your safe bet is asking in support channels of ubuntu ( like ubuntuforums.net, or askubuntu.com ) . Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
