Can you access it from a terminal? If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it. Waiting for more information (see comment #1). We guess if the device has not been cut down power under kde env. Can you try restarting a daemon called either "udisk" or "udisk2" ? Closing the thread for lack of activity.
