Thanks for the report. What is your exact KDE version? (In reply to comment #1) > Thanks for the report. What is your exact KDE version? Thank you very much for your prompt reply!! My KDE version is 4.9.5. Also, I forgot to mention that this was not happening in KDE 4.9.3. Sorry for the late response. I cannot reproduce the problem. Can you still reproduce it in KDE 4.10.3? Moreover, does your folder hierarchy contain symbolic links? It still happens in KDE 4.10.2 (KDE 4.10.3 is not stabilised yet in Gentoo). And yes, I have symbolic links in my folder hierarchy: my /home/ directory is actually a symbolic link to /usr/local/.home. Now that you mention, there is a connection since every time I select the "home" entry in the places panel, shortly afterwards the selected entry switches automatically to /usr/local. Thanks for the quick reply. It looks a lot like a duplicate of the symbolic link issue bug 302037 then, which is fixed in KDE 4.10.3. In the (hopefully unlikely) case that you still see this problem after upgrading to 4.10.3, please let us know. Thanks for your help! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 302037 *** |
