illustration of synchronisation problem
I closed and re-opened kontact - et voila - see attachment Created attachment 76486 [details]
kontact re-opened
still there with 4.9.98 further example: filters do not work automatically manual method sort of works cntl-A (select all) -> message -> apply filter -> apply all filters nothing happens until deselecting select all - then messages are correctly sorted to folders If one receives an email at the same time as one sends an email, while the email isn't lost it only becomes accessible after closing and reopening kontact - a variation on the above comment on the action of filters the problem occurs in 4.10.0 release "550" inbox not updating properly folders not displaying right information - e.g.,, my wastebin is empty but showing two entries Created attachment 77568 [details]
wastebin not empty - apparently
occasionally get the same email appearing twice in inbox/folder after filtering (i.e., two with identical date/time stamp) inability to delete second copy - got "resource broken" each time I tried to delete it - as ever exiting and restarting kontact/kmail restores everything to expected state with email deleted or ghost copy (an early kmail 2 phenomenon IIRC) removed, take your pick wonder if related to bug 279440 bug 306954 bug 315559 Inbox -> Search <string> -> cntl A -> drag to new folder -> leaves originals in inbox Gerry, thank you for your report. It related to a version of KDEPIM that uses Nepomuk. It is no longer maintained. If you still see any synchronisation issues, please open one new bug report per different issue you are seeing. Please also research first whether similar bug reports are open against a current version. Ideally latest 15.08 if you can get it already, otherwise 4.14.latest. Thank you, Martin |
