I'm thinking about displaying any problems in the tooltip, possibly indicated by a small icon overlay on the presence applet, while if everything is connected ok, display just the global presence status like it is now. So you never want to display the individual connection statuses? Would be nice if that would become an option anyway - possibly disabled by default. But I like the idea with an overlay icon in case of problems with at least one account. Maybe a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle. The tooltip would then list the accounts that failed and the specific reason. Well there's not much use - if everything is connected, isn't it enough to know that all is connected? As for the overlay - I was thinking just that ;) (In reply to comment #3) > Well there's not much use - if everything is connected, isn't it enough to > know that all is connected? Agreed. I probably just had some nostalgic feelings. ;) Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. Dear user, unfortunately Telepathy is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
