SCreenshot showing the launcher behind the active window
uuh, are you running it on a desktop? what windowmanager is using? (i see it has no borders, is kwinactive?) maybe is some kwin rule I'm running it on a touchscreen laptop (Dell Latitude XT). I kill plasma-desktop and run plasma-device. It's running using Kwin, although I use that config option to turn off window borders on maximized windows built in to Kwin, what was it....? Something like borderlessonmaximized=true Kwin is definitely active (pardon the pun) though, and works in every other way (eg dragging windows around, switching from window to window, resizing etc) We require the settings as found in the plasma-mobile-config repository to be used with kwin for proper function. We do not currently support any other configuration. With the next major release of Plasma Workspaces, we will have the ability to switch seamlessly between the different environments. Until then, we require the defined config to be active and that needs to be done as a system integration task (e.g. manually). We know that this is currently suboptimal for moving back and forth between the different shells, however this is not currently in scope for the 4.x series. That said, I do know it works as I have done it on devices myself ... easiest way I've found is to have different KDEDIRS for the different shells with the kwin, etc. config from plasma-mobile-config in one dir and the desktop-y configs in another. Ok, I get that the settings are supposed to be different, and I don't mind having it permanently set to using PA if it gets the slide down menu working with compositing. Any chance you could point me to where online I could start looking for the default file I should be using and where it should go? Not sure what the plasma-active-config repository actually is (some repo on the OBS?). |
