"Graphical Effects" option in "Styles" KCM are very hard to understand.
It mixes low/high graphical resolution modes with a "low"/"high"/"intensive" use of cpu.
It's a bit ridiculous pretending the user to know what all this means, and which are the expected results of tweaking the default value.
Meaning is esoteric and differences between values are more invisible than minimal.
I'm currently using a very weak netbook and I feel no performance improvements after setting Graphical Effects to minimal values and switching off animations.

Expected Results:  
I propose to replace the drop-down list with a check-box to enable or disable all animations, that is: widget style animations, window decoration animations, application animations;
and changing the name of the option: when I think of "graphical effects", I think about desktop compositing..

I know Kubuntu planned this option to be changed in a user-freindly sense.
