Hi,

When I minimize on other applications using the minimize effect it correctly shrinks while heading for the task bar object. With chromium ( and possibly other GTK applications ) it seems to just ignore heading for the taskbar and takes the middle of the application window and shrinks there instead. 

I am able to replicate this every time I open chromium after closing it but after using it for a little while it seems to work correctly and shrink to the taskbar object instead of the middle of its application window. 

Chromium is listed on the task bar and I have tried the Only show toggles to see if that was effecting it but it was not. I have also tried on different activities to see if that effected it but also no luck

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Chromium and minimize with minimize effect enabled
Actual Results:  
Shrink to the middle of the application window instead of the taskbar object which it is on. 

Expected Results:  
Shrink to the taskbar object instead of the middle of its application window.

before minimizing please run
xprop | grep _NET_WM_ICON_GEOMETRY
in konsole, click the chromium window and post the output

Do you btw. use the chromium internal window decoration?

Running "xprop | grep _NET_WM_ICON_GEOMETRY" brings up nothing.. had a manual look as well just for good luck and its no where in the xprop output. 

I run with internal window decoration but I have tried it without and it has the same issue.

that's a taskbar bug then - it however might check for the decoration, please note whether you tried with regular borders from beginning on or set them only at chromium runtime.

I completely closed the application after setting the border on and started it up again, still no luck :(

Also I have to correct myself, it does not shrink to the center of the application window. It shrinks to the middle of the screen.
