nepomuk works for you ? How can I check it, if nepomuk works correct? If I type nepomukserver in a terminal, I receive this answer: "Nepomuk server already running." what does `ps x |grep nepomuk` return ? ps x |grep nepomuk return: 1542 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_feeder --identifier akonadi_nepomuk_feeder 1581 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/bin/nepomukserver 1583 ? SNl 0:02 /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub nepomukstorage 1705 ? S 0:00 /usr/bin/nepomukcontroller 5232 pts/1 S+ 0:00 grep --color=auto nepomuk Note, I have this Problem on 3 workstations. The results are the same on these three workstations. On 2 workstations I have newly installed Kubuntu 12.04. One workstation I have upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04. Before the upgrade mostly sender's picture are shown in the decorative Email-header-view. Only the sender's picture composed by exchange mailer were not shown in 11.10 (see my comment here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284695#c11). I can confirm that bug. On openSUSE 12.1 with KDE 4.7.2 it worked fine. After upgrade to KDE 4.8.4, the pictures stopped to show. I use Akonadi Google resources for my address books in KAddressBook (there I see contact face pictures). After downgrade back to 4.7.2 the pictures are not displayed. Nepomuk is working and seems to be fine. $ ps x |grep nepomuk 2121 ? Sl 0:06 kdeinit4: nepomukserver [kdeinit] 2131 ? SNl 1:14 /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub nepomukstorage 2152 ? SN 0:01 /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub digikamnepomukservice 12052 pts/0 R+ 0:00 grep --color=auto nepomuk Work fine here. Please update and make sure that contact is indexed. Now I use openSUSE 12.2 with KDE 4.9.1 and it does not work. Well, sometimes for few contacts yes, but generally not. I have all contacts in Akonadi Google and in KAddressbook I see them. How to ensure, that contacts are indexed? Nepomuk/strigi is running. It might be another bug. ;-) no just it's not indexed :) In 4.9.2 there is a tool to look at what is indexed. OK, so how to fix that? ;-) I think I'm not only one trying to fix it ;-) |
