Description marytee 2012-04-11 10:50:15 UTC
1. I am running KDE 4.8.2 and have the application launcher widget installed in my bottom panel.
2. I installed an app (peazip) from a .deb file.
3. I wanted to add peazip to the application menu and right-clicked on the application launcher icon to "Edit Applications..."
4. Added Peazip to Utilities section of menu.
5. Clicked the save icon (floppy disk) at the top of the window.
6. "Updating System Configuration" loops without end, i.e. the progress bar resets after registering 100%

I can type 'peazip' in the application search window at the top of the menu and an entry appears--gear next to 'peazip'. App opens when I click. What I am unable to do is add it to the menu. Deleting an existing entry does not work, either, when attempting to save the change.
