Often, while using kmail I find myself resizing the folder list because of the favourite folders layout, there is either a lot of blank space in the favourite folder widget or in folder list widget beneath it. I think, providing an option to switch from currently used "icon view" to "compact view" (like in dolphin) that displays smaller icons and text alongside icons would allow users to set the width of the panel exactly how they want. Not to mention it would unify the look and feel.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add 4 or more favourite folders
2. try to set the width of the folders panel so that the favourite folders look well-arranged and the panel is not unnecessarily wide at the same time
