Description Brian Pritchett 2012-03-15 03:54:00 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Build Identifier:

The button to install debugging symbols is still visible and active after installing debugging symbols for that application. This could lead a user to believe that the symbols were either not installed, or not installed correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait for a program to crash
2. Install its debugging symbols

Actual Results:
"Install debugging symbols" button still active and visible after debugging symbols have been correctly installed.

Expected Results:
Some type of visual confirmation that they are installed and that you should not be clicking on the button again.

well, based upon what do you get the conclusion "debug symbols have been correctly installed ?"

Can you post one example backtrace that you think debug symbols have been correctly installed but DrKonqi still think they are not ? Such an example will help to see whether it is the fault of DrKonqi failing to realize debug symbols have been installed , or the fault of distro-specific installer failing to install all needed debug symbols but still returning a success code to DrKonqi.
