Won't do sorry. Setting the option to "show when needed" basically would make them absolutely not discoverable ... (meaning: new users would never find them), although I agree that kde applications look better without it ... Just wondering, how exactly are the keyboard accelerators discoverable even if underlined? The user would still have to know that they need to press the Alt key first. If anything, "Show when needed" makes it more discoverable in my opinion since the underlines then show up when the Alt key is held down, making a connection to the Alt key (it's still hard to figure out though). Having the accelerators visible make them more discoverable than not having them. They are also visible in all other widget themes. I do not want bug reports like "Oxygen do not display keyboard accelerators, whereas plastique does". So, the bug remains WONTFIX, sorry. Can't make everybody happy. There is no need to re-opening as "Unconfirmed", because that will not make the default change. Hugo |
