We need more information to be able to find out why this is happening for you. 1) Try LiveCD of a newer KDE version (4.7 or 4.8), it might be already fixed. 2) If it still happens with a recent KDE, check if a specific configuration is responsible. Try to reproduce the bug with a freshly created user account. 3) Comment #0 indicates hovering the panel might be the problem. Try removing applets from the panel, to check if any of them is responsible. Also try to move the panel to the screens' top position, to rule out screen-position specific issues (driver, etc.) Hi Christoph I tried with a new user but forgot to select KDE when I logged in so I got a gnome session and it did the same thing so this isn't a KDE issue. Just to be sure I also tried with XFCE and had the same problem. I can now confirm this is not a KDE issue but was a problem with a series of ATI catalyst drivers. I have now updated to the latest driver and the problem is resolved. Thanks for the update. |
