OS: Linux

Please see attached jpg.

In the File menu of Okular the Open Recent entry is at the bottom end of the list. In deed, the ordering of the list is different from another maschine with the same installation, Arch Linux, KDE 4.8, Okular 0.14.0.

If Okular does not touch the left screen border, the Open Recent dialog opens always to the left, even if there is to little space.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Okular
Move it a little away from the left screen border
Open File -> Open Recent

Actual Results:
Open File -> Open Recent opens to the left and leaves visible area.

Expected Results:
Open File -> Open Recent should open to the right as long as possible (at least if the local settings indicate that the user is used to left to right writing)

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.2.2-1-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

Sounds like a user broken configuration, nothing I can do unless the user is around to help.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2012-01-31 00:39:35 UTC
No, it's a Qt 4.8 bug, that I had to patch locally, because nobody understood my bug report :P

User is around and happy to help if needed. I can offer e.g. irc if real time communication is appropriate.
Comment 4 Albert Astals Cid 2012-01-31 08:10:11 UTC
@Christoph: But that does not explain why the Open menu is down there, does it?
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2012-01-31 11:38:45 UTC
Oh, you are right, I did not notice that. That's probably bug 64754, if not, reopen.
