- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I started Amarok 2.5.0. I was able to start and use it twice, but now Amarok just crashes when trying to start, even before the main window appears.

The installed Amarok 2.5.0 was taken from the Kubuntu Backports PPA.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

I could start Amarok again after removing the embedded MySQL database and rebuilding the whole collection. :-/

That was not needed, simply removing the configuration files would have been enough.
