I can't reproduce this here, same version and distribution, KDE 4.8 RC1. Please check that the option for the Amarok Systray icon is set to either "Auto" or "always visible", both work for me. I don't have an entry for Amarok in the Sys Tray, so I am unable to set it to anything! Not even in the SysTray settings? That should be reported upstream to KDE then. Which Qt version do you use? I still have version 4.7.4, maybe it was changed in Qt 4.8? An update to this bug, I've noticed that Amarok is loaded and there is a space for the icon in the systray it just isn't visible. If I click in the space where the icon should be, Amarok appears and if I right-click the menu appears. Can you still reproduce this with KDE 4.8 final? It works perfectly fine for me here. I can reproduce this on 4.8 final, but so far on only one machine. I suspect that there is a general problem with the visibility of tray icons. Look e.g. here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=134699 So this is apparently an upstream problem, moving the old KDE configuration should solve the issue. *** Bug 296106 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I confirm this bug. Amarok 2.5.96 builkt from sources, KDE 4.8.2, Mageia 2. If Amarok not started at book icon displays properly. (In reply to comment #10) > I confirm this bug. Please read the comments (especially comments #7 and 8) before confirming reports that are marked as upstream. |
