Description Swâmi Petaramesh 2011-12-06 18:07:42 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

The "slideshow" kslideshow.kss screensaver uses such transition methods between images that the transition may take between several tens of seconds or a couple minutes between images, as soon as one has a big screen and uses hi-res pics. This is true even on quite fast H/W and makes the "slideshow" screensaver practically unusable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use the slideshow screensaver with a "now normally" large screen with "now normally large" pictures...

Confirmed on 10+ different machines.

Actual Results:
A pain in the a*

Expected Results:
I would expect a smooth and quick transition between pics.
