I was not able to reproduce this problem with Plasma NM 0.8.95. If you are using a older version than 0.8.95 please upgrade. Plasma NM for NetworkManager 0.8, like the one in the link you posted, are deprecated and unmaintained. How can i check the version "help/about/about systemsettings" shows me version 1.0. By the way i use the (k)ubuntu delivered packages. Even (K)Ubuntu 11.10 ships with an outdate version of Plasma NM. You can check the Plasma NM version by clicking on the plasmoid system tray icon, then on "Manage Connections", then in the "Other" tab, there should be a line that with the version. If there is no version there then you are using Plasma NM for NM-0.8. Yes you are right. There is no version string in the "Other" tab. So this bug may resolved in a newer release. Hopefully (K)Ubuntu updates nearly to a actual release. |
