- What I was doing when the application crashed:

When opening particular .MP4 files which are from my university lectures I noticed that dragonplayer with the VLC backend crashed 100% of the time, however when using VLC they worked just fine. dragon (2.0) on KDE Platform 4.7.2 (4.7.2) using Qt 4.7.4

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

When opening particular .MP4 files which are from my university lectures I noticed that dragonplayer with the VLC backend crashed 100% of the time, however when using VLC they worked just fine. I also compared with another MP4 which was a music video and that worked just fine, the only difference in the two encodings were:

This bug is similar to 279254. It is an issue with libvlc and needs to be resolved upstream.

There is one even further upstream, which is bug 261684, which was a problem with the phonon-backend-vlc, solved in version 0.4.1
