- What I was doing when the application crashed:

i had just installed some of the packages for xine and was changing the settings for phonon to use xine instead of gstreamer...i hit the apply button and poof a crash reporting thing poped up...thats all i know...

side note...i am using the backtrack 5 R1 distrobution...

The Phonon xine backend is unmaintained, please use the GStreamer or VLC one.

i have tried both of these...neither one worked...and neither does xine...

i'm not sure why there was a crash...or even what acctually crashed...

all i know is that i have no sound...and haven't for awhile...
at one point i had very low sound that i couldn't change the volume on...but now it says that it can't read or use any of the sound devices...

knotify4 (4.0) on KDE Platform 4.7.1 (4.7.1) using Qt 4.7.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Switched settings from Gstreamer to Xine.
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
KNotify crashed instead.
