Broken ICS that triggers the bug.

Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

It seems that with the recent switch to Akonadi-backed iCal resources, KOrganizer has lost the ability to put appointments to the proper local time. This is a regression from KDE 4.6.3 to 4.7.0.

I have attached a small ICS to showcase this.

My parts of bugs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171570
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68345
and it seems
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270404
and related
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=246127

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Import the attached ICS file into KOrganizer using Akonadi for ICS resources as a new calendar. On a system that does not provide the referenced "Eastern ..." time zone from the file, but should rely on the provided time zone information from the ICS.

Actual Results:
The event is added at the exact time referenced in the ICS, without honouring the time zones. It ends up at 7:30 in my calendar, which is the raw time in the ICS. I am locally at Europe/Berlin, and the event is at "Eastern Standard".

Expected Results:
The event should be at 13:30, taking into account the time zone differences between local time zone and that in the ICS file.

KMail displays the proper time in the invitation, which is confusing. This *has worked* with KOrganizer from KDE 4.6.3, *not* using the Akonai-iCal resource, hence this is likely a bug in there.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
