The activity manager appears to use nepomuk for configuration storage, when nepomuk is disabled, the activity icons are reset and sometimes even names dissapear.

Please use the kde configuration system for configuration data! Esp while nepomuk is not stable.

This is a WONTFIX. Nepomuk is actually quite stable and it's not necessary to disable it.

It is not so much a question of stability as one of philosophy - although the problems caused by nepomuk crashing are bad.

But nepomuk is not meant as a configuration storage, and that is what you use it for in the activity manager. You should use KConfig.
