Please upgrade, this is fixed since quite some time.

BTW: did you really compile KDE from sources? Then I strongly recommend you upgrade your KDE version, 4.6.2 is rather old now, 4.7 is out and the 4.6 series has seen several bugfix releases and is currently at 4.6.5
