Description Philipp Schmidt 2011-08-08 08:07:34 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

As described in the title: If I want to use SHORTWEEKDAY in the formatted date using translated Strings (in my case WOCHENTAGKURZ) and set it using translated systemsettings it won't work.

I hope this is a translation bug, but the behaviour is so strange that I believe it could also be a bug in the localisation engine of systemsettings when the date is set.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try using WOCHENTAGKURZ in translated "Systemsettings -> Region -> Land, Region & Sprache -> Datum und Zeit-Tab"

Actual Results:
It just shows MontagKURZ for Monday (or DienstagKURZ for Tuesday and so on)

Expected Results:
Mon, Di and so on.

If I set it using >>LANG=en systemsettings<< and SHORTWEEKDAY it works and shows up correctly in german systemsettings (As WOCHENTAGKURZ) and the date shows the expected short weekday.
