is it a missing feature or a bug ? well users perceive it as bug if they can not open an attachment the problem is also that the sender does not know and see, that he is producing an attachment "winmail.dat" see the reason here http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/qt/Prevent_Winmail_dat_Attachments_from_Being_Sent_in_Outlook.htm last night I committed a fix that makes KMail2 capable of looking at winmail.dat contents inline. current plans call for not resurrecting the standalone ktnef program |
