Created attachment 62411 [details] A screenshot showing the problem. Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux When I'm using XRender-based desktop effects, Plasma panel displays shadow always on top of other windows. Shadow should be visible only on wallpaper. This bug doesn't appear when I'm using OpenGL-based compositor. Tested with default Plasma themes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Enable desktop effects. 2) Chose XRender as "Compositing type" in "Advanced" tab. 3) Make sure that panel is visible and not set to autohide. 4) Maximize any window. 5) See how panel shadow overlap maximized window. Actual Results: Panel casts shadow on top of windows. Expected Results: Shadow of panel should stay below windows. OS: Arch Linux x86_64 Kernel: 2.6.39.3 xorg-server: 1.10.3 libgl: 7.10.3 ati-dri: 7.10.3 xf86-video-ati: 6.14.1 KDE SC 4.7 installed from official, stable repositories of Arch Linux.
